The liveview of what my camera sees in my very clean and very organized garage.

IT IS ALL GARBAGE UNTIL YOU DECIDE IT ISN'T

May 3, 2023

“LOST”

Nobody knows about the things you don’t share. Nobody sees all the steps along the way to making something beautiful. It is all garbage until you decide it isn’t.

In this case, it was literally garbage. Old speakers from a second-hand store. Pieces of printers and an old record player. It is, by all stretches of the imagination—waste.

Brought together in my less-than-ideal garage, which has bugs in the walls, and poor insulation. But instead of getting stuck in the weeds, and trying to perfect the imperfect I broke some shit, made some nonsense, and make my inner child happy if only for a moment. Art is messy. Art is gross. Go be messy and gross dammit.

A very quick rundown of hours and hours of losing myself in Photoshop.

LOOK FOR THE THINGS YOU SEE

May 3, 2023

This is where it came from.

This is where it went.

“CITIES”

Pay attention to your scribbles. Sometimes they turn into something great. Often they remain scribbles, lost in an endless sea of notebooks with other ‘good ideas.’ They will never be perfect, but you still have an opportunity to bring them out of the dungeon and give them some life.

Most of the time I don’t have the patience to make something more out of whatever spills out of my brain. But when I am lucky enough to catch myself—I fall and fall and just keep falling.

Antennae are made from a microphone stand, and some softbox speedrings. The man standing in the doorway is an Ash from Evil Dead figure that is normally on my desk. The rest is just texture and digital paint.
